I have clever kids!

All my kids got over 50% in the exam and one, KimnGok, got 98%!! I feel terribly proud!

The kids are Wey, Huang, Lim and Dyna the boys and Bo Bah, Teary, Srey Leng, Kimngok, Srey Mei, Srey Leng, Theary and Jehta.

Going out this after noon to get "well done" stickers and prizes :)

Can't believe it's my last week at the project now, so I have decided to come back sometime in the next few months and do some more teaching and fundraising for them.

Have spent yesterday planning my trip around Siem reap and the Temples of Angkor, I leave for there next Saturday.

Interestingly Siem Reap translates as "Siam defeated" and was named as a bit of a thumb-on-nose waggle at the Thai's, when the Khmers defeated them, years ago. Today we noticed lots of Cambodian flags were out all round the city, hanging from all the houses and flagpoles on the streets, and many were flying at half mast... we asked if someone important had died however apparently tomorrow, from what I understand, is a celebration of their independence and defeat of Thailand (or what was then Siam).

They also closed the main road past the palace whilst we were trying to use it, for a big troup of black official looking cars, escorted by police cars, which was the King! So we kind of got to see him.
